Our Story

  • Where We Began

DMBA was founded in 1970 when The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, along with other companies owned and operated by the Church, established us as a third-party administrator to manage employee benefits. Today, we’re known as Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators, or DMBA.

  • The Financial Planning Team was Started

In early 2001, we desired to help the employees of the Church and Church-owned companies with their financial questions. Through focus groups, we found that people wanted financial education and access to financial planners. Thus the financial planning team was born.

  • "Do-It-Yourself" Financial Programs Were Developed

To complement the financial planning team’s work with groups and individuals and to meet the needs of those who desired a self-directed educational approach, the Core Financial Principles and Forecasting Your Retirement programs were created to educate and inspire.

  • Today

The DMBA Financial Planning team can assist you with many financial matters, from financial coaching consultations to comprehensive financial analysis and planning. The team is continually innovating to provide workplace financial wellness and an objective and qualified perspective for you.

  • How can
    we serve
